Dear friends,

I hope you are well.

Our annual convention is coming soon and we need to develop our program.

I would like inform you that there are some progress in the local organizing committee.

Please propose your contribution to our convention.

I have noticed you on our previous activities.

These are porposals by Nick Tally and Sam Mathews

This is message I received from Dr Komang, the local organizing committee.

Dear Prof. Sun Huh,

How are you? Hope my mail finds you well.

Regarding our plan to host the 5th Asian Science Editors Conference and Workshop, 18-19 July 2018, I would like to report some progress of the conference:

1. We have established the Indonesian Association of Science Editor (ADEI) and we will have the first congress on the 26 January 2018. I hope ADEI will be the official representative of CASE in Indonesia. I was elected as the first president for 2 years term.

2. We have formed the local committee for the conference by including some APAME representatives in Indonesia.

3. Our government will invite participants from all ASEAN countries (10 countries) with 5-10 participants from each country. Each country needs to give presentation on current condition of science journals in the country for 15 minutes.

4. I will arrange the pre-conference program on the first day. I need your help to arrange the second day program by accommodating the APAME interest.

5. As you indicated on your previous email below, CASE will support the local committee with $6,000. If we can get the budget earlier it will be a great help for us.

6. The conference is expected to be officially opened by the ministry of research, technology, and higher education of Indonesia.

I hope with your support and collaboration, our conference will be successful.

Best regards,
